Talahib Profile

TALAHIB (noun). English: common grass or kans grass (Saccharum spontaneum). It is common and can grow up to three meters high that dances with wind. It is soft to the eyes with flowers of a peacock’s tail. Yet, it is irritating. Its edges are sharp and can cut one’s skin unconsciously.

TALAHIB (the band). Melodic soulful harmonies of Philippine folk blend with the upbeat styles of jazz, reggae, afro-cuban, dance and rock, armed with words of love and hope, culture and heritage and social commentaries. All songs sung in native tongue as the music cuts.

Now, We want to share to you our self titled album to be released in 2011. Keep on supporting and help the world music scene be appreciated. Dance to Life!
